Arrested in the double murder case in Florencio Varela

In the province of Río Negro, a man was arrested after the number of a cell phone, believed to belong to one of the murdered teenagers in Florencio Varela, Josué Salvatierra or Paloma Gallardo, was activated. Sources from the case reported that the suspect will be transferred to Florencio Varela for questioning and would then be released, as he would not be linked to the investigation.

The device in question, which is suspected to be cloned, is a replica of a chip from one of the two victims found dead in a field in the town of Bosques. Investigators plan to raid the suspect's business, where he claimed to have repaired the phone in August and did not use it until the day he turned it on. It is a Samsung A2, whose analysis revealed that it had the same IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity).

At the crime scene, police found neither the victims' cell phones nor Josué's messenger bag with the money he had inside. "The only thing we have so far are suspicions," revealed a source related to the investigation of the double homicide. The autopsy indicated that Paloma, 16 years old, and Josué, 14, died from blunt force trauma, suggesting that the murderers hit them in the head with a stone. After ruling out sexual abuse in the case of the young woman, the investigation continues its course.
